Bachelor Of Medicine And Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

M.B.B.S.

MBBS degree are referred to by the title of ‘doctor’ and use the prefix ‘Dr’. MBBS is 5 and half years undergraduate degree programme in medicine and surgery offered by various colleges. This programme is devised to equip students with appropriate knowledge, skills, attitude, values and behaviors necessary to understand and influence factors that affect the health of individuals and of communities. MBBS prepares one to become a doctor and also paves way to the various specialized field one has plans to take up in the future for MD or MS. With an MBBS degree, one masters the makeup of the entire human body, knows about each vein, artery, nerves and muscles.

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS)

B.D.S.

Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS Course) is divided into 4 years of training and one year of compulsory rotatory internship. The students are taught the basics of medicine and they would be dealt in depth with various aspects of dentistry, including dental materials, dental anatomy, oral histopathology, oral pathology, community dentistry, pedodontics, prosthodontics, periodontics, conservative endodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, oral medicine and radiology, ortho dental and dentofacial.

Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (B.A.M.S)

Ayurvedic Medicine Course in India ie, BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery) is a 5 and half years course which includes 1 year of rotatary internship. Unlike other parts of the world, this degree in traditional medicine is hardest to get and is equivalent in duration and curriculum to conventional modern medicine degree in India. The subject of modern system of medicine like anatomy, physiology, pathology, toxicology, forensic medicine, pharmacology, preventive medicine, ENT, psychiatry etc are being taught to the students along with the subjects of ayurveda.

Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery (B.H.M.S)

Homeopathy is a system of medicine surgery which involves treating the individual with highly diluted substances given mainly in tablet form with the aim of triggering the body’s natural system of healing. Homeopathy remedies aim to stimulate the body’s own healing mechanisms. Homeopathy believes that any physical disease has a mental and emotional component. So a homeopathic diagnosis includes physical symptoms (such as fever), current emotional and psychological state (such as anxiety and restlessness) and the person’s constitution.

Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandy (B.V.Sc. & AH.)

This (Veterinary Science ) area of study is practiced widely and accepted by the students, as part of the course in their undergraduate studies. The course of studies takes six years, and it is divided into two parts. The first two years consist of theory, and the last four years consist of practical studies.  Students who want to be qualified as a doctor in this area, has to complete his under graduation in this area.

This course of BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) helps in the diagnosis as well as the management of various ailments, with manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, electro physical modalities etc. Physiotherapy can be broadly classified into 3 areas; musculoskeletal physiotherapy, cardiothoracic physiotherapy and neurological physiotherapy, which almost covers all the areas of health problems for which physiotherapy has a positive outcome.
